i have a deep, planted low tech tank,no co2, tank approx 200lts ,39x26 x16. ,lots of plants, lighting two x39w t5s,lights on 7 hours per day. Would led light unit be much brighter than t5,and cause problems in low tech tank re algae?

Hi, that's a 'how long is a piece of string?' question.
LED units vary wildy in brightness, so its not really a question that can be answered.

If your t5s are working for you, why change?

Yes, stick with what you have if it's not giving you any trouble. :)
But if you do go for LEDs, get dimmable ones and you can set them to suit your tank and plants' needs.
