lightube blow out

im soo annoyed. one of my light tubes on my 'I' Bar has just gone bang sending shards into the tank. luckily there are no occupants at the moment so i fished all of the pieces out with tweezers and nets.
I have one cheap light tube and one more expensive tube which is a sylvania Grolux and guess which tube just went bang...... typical.

Pants, sorry to hear that matey. First time Ive ever heard of a tube actually shattering like that. Not good.

i guess it must have been a faulty tube becuase it had only been on for less than 2 hours. i will have to rely on my 2 30w T8's for now untill i can get a new tube. im hoping the light company might replace it for me especially as it went bang (literally) so early on.

Sounds a bit bazaar!

Must have been a faullty one unless extremes in temperature caused it? (but not that effect after a couple of hours of usage).
