Hello, was on holidays for 5 weeks and my friends looked for the tank only occasionally. It turned out not that bad as i was expecting. The worst was lilaeopsis witch was all covered in algae.
Trimmed it like a lawn so the question is will or will not it grow back o_O and how it would have had to be pruned?
Regards.

Been 6 days after pruning and no new leaves yet.
Any advice about how to prune LB would be highly appreciated.
Cheers.

Thanks for reassurance. I think i am starting to see small new leaves now...
For the next time should i leave 0.5 inch or so of the old leaves or should i prune it right to the ground?

i always leave about 1cm, but it depends on the hieght you want it. you may want to have it short at the front, going full height towards the back,

Ok, i see then. So old cut leaves do not die then? I was thinking once you cut it the old leaves would die in some time replaced by the new growth.
Will find out it soon anyway. You can only learn experimenting.
Thanks a lot.
