Hi all,
I don't think it matters, but Limia would like quite hard water and Betta albimarginata is a black water species.

cheers Darrel

He does have a mate. Interestingly, I found an academic paper online that says that this LImia species tends to be 'triangulator.' In other words, a male appears more attractive to a female in the presence of another female. Therefore, he may well be courting my misled betta in the hopes of winning over the female of his own species.

I;ve seen similar behaviour in terrestrial species we all know too well...
