Low energy silent return pump.

Anybody recommend a silent or as near as possible sump return pump.
Needs to be 4000ish lt/hr.
The one I have has developed a distinct hum and I have tried to quieten it down but with no success.

Might be the impeller, same happened to me and I found a crack in the impeller, replaced and as good as new.

Have you had a look at the jebao dc pumps. I've got the 9000 and very impressed with it. Nice and quiet and low wattage.

@bluemoon280 has also just bought one and seems happy with it too.

Not really low power although it is still cheap to run, you probably wont fine a more robust and long lasting pump than a Grunfos ... http://www.ukaps.org/forum/threads/central-heating-pump-conversion.26709/

I am using a dc6000 on a reef tank and it is quiet there is a slight hum but don't hear it once the cabinet door is shut.

There is a well know place you can get them really cheap.
