Hi all, just wondering if this would be ok for a low tech 45 by 30 by 30 cm tank?

it'd be a lot of light, 36w is huge light, you'd need co2 dosing of the pressurised variety without doubt.

Hmm, the details state 3x8w T5v tubes...so 24w, perhaps more suitable for low tech, but even 24w of T5 over that tank will be quite high. If it will run only 2 tubes then it may be better as that'll be a more 'low tech' 16w.

Shame they have nothing wider too - very suitable for some of the smaller cube aquariums, though you'd be best replacing the blue bulbs with something more daylight.

Thanks for the replies, i would definately take the blue one out. Lampspecs have got some nice daylight tubes in the size i would need with a CRI of 90+ :D

I found an old arcadia t8 lum on ebay for £30 worth looking for?
