Has anyone been to any of the Maidenhead Aquatics outlets....just found out there is one a few miles from my home and wondered if they had any decent stock.

It says they get plants from Tropica in Denmark and from singapore.

They tend to be ok, but do vary. The one near me (Oxford) is great, really knowledgeable staff, friendly, great fish. But as I said it can vary. Certainly worth a look though :)

Which one is it? I've be in lots of them!

My local MA at Peterborough has a good stock of Tropica and aquafluer plants.

Well I have to say I was very impressed with the friendly staff and the great selection of plants and fish.

    A great find... :!:

They had some Gold Rams in stock also...what a bonus :D

Maidenhead Aquatics at Fareham is well worth a visit, they are now pretty much plant specialists and appear to sell everything you can think of for planted aquariums with a very large plant selection. Their display tank is HUGE, bit overgrown... needs some 'grooming' to reach its potential but the scale of it and how healthy the plants are still mean its worth a look. It's a little 'jungle' but oddly calming to look at.

I am quite friendly with the staff (should be I'm in there everyweek :D ) and when I was in yesterday they admitted that the aquarium plant side of the business was doing really well getting more popular by the week, they had a few customers asking about the display tank and the staff are now pretty knowledgeable, they were just realing off the names of plants like pro's.

Fab shop, I have four Maidenhead Aquatics (Southampton, Havant, Chichester and Fareham) in my area and Fareham is by far the best.

I use the Stokesley store too and have to agree with you. Nice staff, with a good selection of fish. They get a list each week of plants that they can order fo deliveryt he following week are are willing to let you have a look at the list and order anything you fancy. I ordered 12 pots of HC (Aquafleur) and it was great quality.
