Make over

Hello, im toying with the idea of replacing my substrate and maybe a complete make over of my main tank possibly making a new tank if it works our cheaper than buying a new one.

I'm thinking on using this FINE GRAIN MOLER/TERRAMOL BONSAI SOIL but seen everywhere about sprinkling osmocote under it.
The question is where can i buy it from in England? and instead of using osmocote can i just sprinkle dry salt under it? will it have the same effect? (i think i just answer my own question as i typed this now i think about it dry salts would dissolve instantly in the water?)

can you recommend any other substrate?
i thought maybe soil but im scared as i always seem to vacuum heavily.

Hi Ale, Osmocote is sold in garden centers & even Tesco. It supply's N-P-K to your plants
