Depends what you planting it in. All I know is I tried to plant some in small batches into eco complete and it wouldn't stay put so had to place a little substrate on top of a larger clump.
Needless to say it didn't do very well or survive very long for one reason and another.
Hello,
MU is an ordinary stem with ordinary requirements, and does not really have a preference for substrate type. It should be trimmed often to appear bushy and neat. If the substrate is deep enough, just pushing the base in and leaving it will be fine. If it doesn't do well or doesn't survive very long then the reason is typically that the hobbyist has not paid enough attention to nutrient, and especially, to CO2 requirements.
