Mixing liquid ferts and EasyCarbo

I'm going away on holiday and am leaving my house mate in charge of my tank. :wideyed:

I want to make it as idiot-proof as possible.

Currently I'm dosing ~5ml of DIY TPN+ and 2.5ml EasyCarbo a day.

I have an old TPN+ bottle that doses 10ml in a go.

Would it be possible to make an all in one mix of say 3:1 DIY TPN+ and EasyCarbo and getting him to dose 10ml a day (giving 7.5ml ferts and 2.5ml EasyCarbo) or would this concoction be unstable/risky? They mix in the tank with no issues so they should be ok in a bottle... except the concentrations are going to be much greater.

It's not something I would do but can't say for definite if it's ok to do or not. Once you add the easy carbo to tank water I believe it starts to decompose fairly quickly and has a half life of about 12 hours. This is what excel does so I'm guessing easy carbo does as well. So if you add it to your dosing solution there is a very good chance it will start to decompose pretty quickly as well.

Best to leave separate IMHO.

Cheers James,

Guess I'll just have to trust him with a measuring spoon ;)
