Hey members,

My old tank ran CO2 at 30ppm.

Tom said 40ppm CO2 is the new recommended level at 2008.
I assume this is for Hi-light tanks.
This means that one would run to get refills sooner at high lighting.

I understand medium light is more manageable.
Medium light at 30ppm will suffice?

Getting a tank to run at 30 ppm is very hard, i would think 40 is almost unobtainable ( unless you run with one or two large reactors in a small tank), fish will probably not like it either.
CO2 levels are related to the amount of light, it is far far easier to increase the light than it is to increase the CO2.
Also: often people relate their CO2 levels to the dreaded colorchart, this has proven to be (very) incorrect
