More Rena Troubles!

This time the problem is it's sucking in air from somewhere, but is not leaking water. I'm not sure where from, as all the o rings seem in place. I've tried shaking the filter to get the air out, but as soon as it's expelled it, more appears in the cannister from somewhere. I'm assuming it's got to be somewhere on the filter end of the inlet pipe. I've got a constant stream of bubbles from the outlet and a noisy impellar that is really annoying!

Hi mate, i had this on my Eheim 2128, a stream of bubbles from the outlet. I was baffled! It turns out that there is a crack in the side of the filter "bucket". It doesn't leak when the filter is running but if i turn it off it leaks. Might be worth looking at.....

Bingo... turned it off and it leaks...

Now for more investigation

Any idea what would be best to patch it? My filter has the same problem.

Empty a tube of silicone on it!!

Well I actually found it was the impeller cover o ring that was the problem as it had split. But I have streached it round and covered the gap and no more problems

Sounds like a plan, I've got a half tube of silicon in the cupboard which should do the trick.
