Hi all

I’ve been lurking for a few weeks to get some pointers and inspiration and here is my first ever aquarium on day 1. I finished planting and filling about an hour ago!

The knowledge and support on here is amazing so I had to join to say thanks for the advice I’ve gleaned already.

Details:

Juwel Vision 180
Stock filter with 1000 lph pump and new media
Stock Juwel multilux lights
JBL CO2 system with the odd Taifun diffuser
Koria circulation pump
Twin star Nano because I’m a sucker for thing that look cool and the 40 page thread intrigued me...

Hardscape: Red moor Wood, dragon stone and some layered rocks

Plants - all sorts really!

Nineteen days in. I replaced the JBL diffuser/reactor with a proper diffuser. Much better bubble flow

35 days in. It’s turned into a bit of a jungle at this point but I like the wild look!

Today - 46 days in. The echinidorus harbii has put a flowering stem up to the surface and the Anubias has also put buds out. I can’t quite believe how well it has grown.
Some green spot algae (after a week away in cornwall) but otherwise under control :D

Thats some impressive growth :) I think the plants on the bottom in the middle/front might be getting too little light, you could try replacing those with small crypts or other low light small plants.

Yeah - I think you’re right. I wasn’t expecting so much to grow so well. The echinodorus, anubias, moss and the red one at the back whose name escapes me have all shot up. I need to take stock and consider moving a few things around or replacing them.
