Hi all,

I have recently just re-scaped my tank and was wondering what your thoughts are on this layout?

I have reused the soil from the tank (Its Tropica, about 2 years old) and have put in root tabs. I have decided to set it up as an easy plant tank and low tech (ish) The twinstar is set to 30% intensity and i'm not going to use co2. I'm planning to dose 1ml of plant food daily and maintain weekly maintenance. Do you have any further tips on how to keep algae at bay? Any recommendations for a plant at the back left to replace the current stem ones?

I also decided to use the spare soil from the tank to set up a bowl scape, not really sure about it at the moment but i kind of just threw it all in:

Lastly, my EA 300 which looks after my Betta:

A Cryptocoryne? Have a look at the <"Tropica "Easy" list">, and just choose one you like.

Do you ever go into Aquajardin (at Haresfield)? I haven't been in for a couple of years but they used to be really helpful. Edit: I've just found <"your 2017 post">, so I know you do.

cheers Darrel

I decided to add co2 to my main tank, it's looking good. Light is at 50% now and I'm dosing at 2ml a day.
