Native british aquatic plants

Was out and about today with the dog, and I have some lakes and streams near me. I have always taken interest in them as they grow small amount of Bristish aquatic plants (i'm not sure on the names!lol). This year there appears to be a massive flourish in the streams, i'm not sure why. I got a couple of pics with the iphone earlier.
