I know there are loads of liverworts native to he uk, but what is the one that grows submerged? It is dark green at the edges, lighter in the middle and grows in shallow (so im assuming brightish conditions), fairly fast flowing water.
Anyone know the likely scientific name?

Also, how can i prepare it so it will be safe for aquarium use?

Years back I used some moss I'd found in wales in a tropical aquarium and it grew fine till I crashed the tank. I would vote cold temps are the key to success. I've grown liverwarts in jam jars too, but found that after about 6-9months they seemingly over night melted.

I love collecting mosses for my aquarium :)
Im going to try this in a tank that has 2 cherry shrimps as its only stock (25litres) so if it goes wrong, it shouldnt go to wrong.
