I recently posted the mock up for my 37 litre tank which is 50x30x25. I have decided to upgrade the tank to a dennerle scapers tank 70 which is 70litres it has the same length as the existing set up and will allow more depth for the new scape in both width and height. I will be using the same filtosmart Thermo 100, and I will use the existing tropica substrate and sand as a bottom layer to the planted area. I plan on using tropica soil, granular and powdered to bed the scape into and plant. Hope fully with a 4 week schedule of daily to weekly water changes this will allow me to transfer the livestock, galaxy danios and amano shrimp, nerite sails in one day, I will save the existing tank water as well to also boost the system.

Water won't do much difference but the filter transfered over give you your beneficial bacteria and from the substrate, I would add some additional but should be good to go straight away. Like you said I'd do the water changes daily to start as the new soil and planting will help balance things. Be good to see this once planted... are you putting many plants in to start?

The extra bacteria at the start is great Idea, and I can top up with it after water changes if necessary. I am going to get a Twinstar LED 450 SA, which will give me the intensity and spectrum of light I need. I have a lot of plants short listed and will probably select them based on availability, the theme is a river bed so between the rocks I will be planting a tight small leaves and dense carpet plant mixed with eleocharis mini, some Reed like specimens for the background, a bit of moss, maybe some epiphytes and a feature plant for the middle ground. Here is my wish list: Some of them are not for this tank, but most are being considered for this project.
I am really taking my time with this, a lot of the plants I want are quite advanced, but with the right lighting, CO2, and fertilisers, and the experience I have gained or lessons from mistakes made in the past, I’m confident this will be a cracking aquascape. Yes I will definitely be posting updates, it’s a slow project as I am buying what I need gradually, once I have everything in place I will get the plants and go for it. My Dennerle tank should arrive this weekend.
