Hi all,
I'm classing myself as new, seeing as it's been a long long time since I had a tank. I'm a 3D artist and animator, as well as an editor at 3D World magazine.
I spend a lot of time in front of a computer and recently decided to look at writing a feature on how people in the industry de-stress. This made me look at how I do it and generally this turned out to be walking the dogs or going for a drive (I'm a bit of a sports car geek too).

I ran a survey and a few people mention keeping fit as it's a hobby that is both relaxing but satisfies the designer part of us. My memories of keeping fish as a kid were so old as to not exist, so I've spent the last month reading everything I can and visiting as many specialists as I can.

I'd never seen or heard of Iwagumi before but I'm smitten. I used to work at the Games Workshop design studio and still find huge appeal in miniature landscapes, so this is like a huge magical combo, hitting all my interests at once.

I do like the ADA style but not so much the prices. So I'm hoping I also have an inner carpenter, as I want to build my own cabinet to go in my studio. I've seen a couple of guides and tomorrow I head for the hardware store to get supplies.

I'll take photos as I go and see what happens.

Anyway, enough about me. Thanks in advance for answering what will inevitably become a long list of questions!

Cheers

RR

Good luck and enjoy.

I am a VFX artist and just about to install a tank next to me at work too.

Something to do whilst waiting for the render huh. Watch out though cos it's very time consuming and needs patience, which as a 3D artist you already know all about.
