I recently just scaped my first tank using uns controsoil. I have a fluval flex 9 gallon and used some controsoil on the left side and right side with a sand path in between. Filled the water and was really clear the first day. I used some filter pad from my 29 gallon and matrix that had been sitting in that tank a few days. Hoping for a instant cycle. I noticed the next day that there’s some film or algae on the glass already. Should I bee changing the water every day or every other day like ada soil? Thanks for any help!

So you clean the glass and replace the water. Next day if you see algae, you clean the glass and remove the water... and so on. Simple as that. But if you don't see algae the next day then you can have a cup of tea instead.

Haha sounds good! I tested the water and so far 0 ammonia and 0 nitrates. Hoping the seeded filter media will allow me to add a fish Monday! Then I’ll have some tea!
