I am replacing my 6 foot tank with another one in June and I am considering using Tropica soil for the substrate or mineralised soil which I started to do back in Feb.
I am a bit concerned about using Tropica soil or any other clay based substrate as I have haerd that they my not last very long before they turn to mud.
For those that use these types of complete substrates how long have they lasted for you? I don’t change my scapes around very often I normally leave them for around five years. But I wouldn’t want to be changing the substrate every two years as they are not cheap.
Which would you suggest best suits my requirements?
