My Dennerle 70ltr has arrived from Olivetti.com. This is for my river project: New aquascape and tank upgrade
I am really pleased with it and it is a lovely tank, sweetened by the fact it was 20% off. The only criticism is the cover plate which I think is a brilliant idea, but it doesn’t allow any room for Lilly pipes, which for a scapers tank should be essential and I’m pretty sure there is little space for the twinstar risers which I plan on using, the brackets for holding the glass are a a bit crude to. I am thinking of cutting the glass 10mm each side, but have no experience of this or getting it done professionally. All advice is very welcome.

To get the glass cut, you'll need someone who can do the radiused corners and grind the edges, a place that has the capability to cut mirrors would be just the job. Or you could get some clear acrylic custom cut with whatever slots/holes/cutouts you need , assuming that just ditching the lid won't be possible (not possible for me because border collie hair floats into everything)
