After a chat with Clive he gave me a fe tips on how to get some better (cleaer) pics. I had a go using differen settings - no flash, flash with paper diffuser, flash - and here are some of the reuslts: (100pics later

forgot to take one with just flash on the tweezers:

I like this last one because it is different, here is an edited version i have done, not sure whether it improves it or not although i think it does
I have to say i think it was a success, whether i can adapt this to aquatic photography we will have to see

1 question, is there more or less noise when using a faster shutter speed?
