Can anyone tell me what this is? It arrived on an Aponogeton crispus bulb. It grows very quickly, doesn't appear.to have much in the way or a root system and is very fragile, easily breaks up when moved.
Thanks

I agree it's a najas sp, commonly called guppy grass. I have what I thought was najas guadalupensis until I just discovered there are near identical species, from Darrels post above.
I weigh mine down in a corner and let it grow up to and over the surface. It does send really long roots down from the surface to anchor it sometimes but it's best as a floating type plant.
