We’d need a bit more information before being able to help. See the guidelines below:

1. Size of tank- aqua one aquasys 230 90x55x55
2. Age of the system approximately- one month
3. Tap water parameters- RODI PH-6.8 A-0 NO2-0 NO3- 20-40ppm APT to remineralise water.
4. Filtration and Media-Oase850, oase crystalskim 350, (don’t buy oase) my opinion, media one oase fome rest matrix
5. Lighting and duration. R65,G55,B75,W70 13:30-21:30 posted picture of the settings.
6. Substrate. Mix of old tropica soil and flourite black sand at bottom then API root tabs some pond soil and top new tropica soil
7. Co2 dosing or Non-dosing- co2 run 2 1/2 hours before lights come on
8. Drop Checker- green
9. Fertilizers used + Ratios- dosing 12ml a day tropica specialised, used stability at beginning
10. Water change regime and composition- Started with every day first week, second week every other day and now three times a week always 50%
11. Plant list + Invitro/Emersed-
Alternanthera reineckii Pink,
Rotala rotundifolia
Eriocaulon sp.Vietnam
Limnophila hippuridoides
Lindernia rotundifolia
Hottonia palustris
Lagenandra meeboldii red
Cryptocoryne petchii
Limnophila aromatica
Micranthemum umbrosum
Staurogyne repens
Lobelia cardinalis dwarf
Pogostemon helferi
12. Inhabitants- juvenile bristlenose pleco, 8 cherry barb, 2 otocinclus
13. Full tank shot and surface image.

Tank is a month old ,are you doing regular water changes, removing any dead leafs, etc Could me maybe it's struggling in newish set up, might make it look for signs of new growth

I do have KH and GH strips but not sure it reeds correctly,I try to keep TDS from 70-120
Placed order for new API test for KH and GH

It started like other plants, but last few days it started to melt. I didn’t do anything different, I did trim it once. I do water changes regularly.

Hi all,
How does it look now?
I try to keep TDS from 70-120
That should be fine, I use <"ppm TDS"> as a proxy for hardness and alkalinity. You can add both <"dGH and dKH via your tap water">. If you want to add a dash more magnesium (Mg)? Then "Epsom Salts" (MgSO4.7H2O) are <"a cheap option">.
Alternanthera reineckii Pink,
AR mini is a difficult one , for me never survived I always used the tropica 1 2 grow .
Everything else looked OK. in your photo.

cheers Darrel

Thanks for your help, I have had some algae so turn the lights down, and keeping the algae at bay. I don’t have much growth for some reason, at the moment I add 10ml everyday of Tropica specialised the light R50 G40 B60 W55 I don’t add anything else. Changing water twice a week 50% and using APT to remineralise RO water. Alternanthera reineckii is not malting now, It is hanging on so will try to add Epsom Salts as you suggested. If anyone can suggest anything else in regards dozing or the growth issue that would be great. This is the picture of the tank now. I add some more plants that will go to my other tank, I closed my Roma 240 so didn’t want to put them in new tank straightaway.

Hi all,
Plant growth looks OK. I'd probably carry on like you are doing. If the plants look a bit leggy you could try increasing the light again.
Changing water twice a week 50% and using APT to remineralise RO water
That should be all right: <"2Hr Aquarist APT SKY">.

If you did want a cheaper option? It is really just calcium chloride (CaCl2.nH20) and magnesium sulphate (MgSO4.7H2O). The other trace elements are in concentrations so low they aren't important and I'm guessing they (and the "seaweed extract") are just to <"throw people off the scent">.

As an example I'll just do the manganese (Mn), but in the same units, so there is "17 mg / L Mn" in the APT Sky and there are a thousand milligrams (mg) in gram (g) and a thousand grams in a litre (~kg)......... which comes to 0.0017% Mn. You then dilute that 0.0017% Mn at "3.5g in 60 litres" and we are at homeopathy.

If you did want to add extra iron (Fe) and manganese (Mn) you could use <"Vitax iron chelate"> or similar <"Chempak® Sequestered Iron with Magnesium & Manganese | Thompson & Morgan">.

cheers Darrel

I would like to try cheaper option but I’m not sure if I understand it. Are you saying instead APT Sky i can add 3.5g calcium chloride (CaCl2.nH20) and magnesium sulphate (MgSO4.7H2O) to the RO water. Or to add as much I need to get DDS to 110 I really don’t know much about it so excuse my ignorance.
I used to use EI dosing long time ago and just followed instructions. Now I use APT Sky and Tropica specialised, I followed Gorge instructions in regards to Tropica, APT Sky it is the same I follow instructions. I do try reading about it but it doesn’t really help me much. This is some of EI stuff I have left.

Hi all,
Are you saying instead APT Sky i can add 3.5g calcium chloride (CaCl2.nH20) and magnesium sulphate (MgSO4.7H2O) to the RO water.
Yes I am, 3.5g combined. They are <"18% Ca from (CaCl2.6H2O)"> and <"10% Mg from MgSO4.7H2O">.
This is some of EI stuff I have left.
The APF magnesium sulphate you have is fine to use, and it will be MgSO4.7H2O, whatever it says on the packet. Same with the trace elements, <"fine to use">, it is actually <"Solufeed Sodium free TEC relabelled">.
Here is the "magnesium sulphate - Epsom Salts" example, formula is MgSO4.7H2O - 24.3 (Mg) + 32 (S) + (4 x 16(O)) . 7 x ((1(H) x 2) + 16(O)) = RMM 246.3 and the Mg conc. is 24.3/246 = 10% Mg.
This means that if you add 1.75g of each compound you've added ~ 1.8 : 1 Ca : Mg. If you wanted to approximately replicate the <"APT SKY">? You need 2.3 g of calcium chloride and 1.2g of magnesium sulphate.
.APT Sky instructions say .....Each 3.5g / 5ml per 60L adds 12ppm Calcium and 3.5ppm Magnesium (+2.5 dGH)
<"Personally">? Just a <"dash of tap water"> (for calcium and dKH) and a pinch of Epsom Salts <"GH+KH RO Reminiralzation Product Help.">, job done.

cheers Darrel

Thank you very much, once I get through APT Sky I will try as you advised and see how it goes. Yesterday I increased a light a bit as you advanced, plants already sowing bit more colour, but so dose green algae on the glass, do you think I should add more then 10ml of Tropica Specialised or just keep it as it is. Maybe I’m not adding enough, so the the growth is not as it should be.
Myriophyllum mattogrossense Is growing like crazy almost every 3 days I need to trim it down.
