I have around 30 Vallisneria Spiralis plants which I am planning to add to my 400L tank but wondered the best way to plant them. Each plant has about 5 leaves, is 20cm high and a very small root. Should I plant in bunches and if so how many or should I plant individualy and if so how far apart?

All advice much appreciated :)

plant them separately. plant about 5cm apart. get your dense look instantly by planting closely, and in no time at all, you'll end up with a huge mass of the stuff.

I planted 5cm apart as advised and they look pretty good :)

I have heard that you should not bury the crown of this plant but simply bury the roots, what happens if there are no roots on the plant? :?
