Curious to know if any one else has experienced issues with growing plants next to internal filters. I have had trouble growing what would be classed as easy to grow plants close to the intake vents on a fluval u4 . H,dIfformis would simply melt away, I gave up after 3 attempts , also tried L.repens same effect. Plants in the path of the out flow grew well as did all the other plants in the tank.
