Hi,

Can someone give me advice why my limnophila sessiliflora, staurogyne repens and pogostemon helferi don't will to grow. Rest plants are ok I think.
I run co2 and have 1 ph drop at lights on. Using EI method and run two fluval fresh and plant 2.0 46w, first on 100% second on 30% intensity for 7 hours.
Tank is 108/42/45.
Thanks

Tank is restarted three months ago, all plants are from minimum a year. Limnofila grew good, but stopped, rest stay stunned all three months.

Hi all,
Plant health doesn't look too bad and not magnesium deficiency.

It is difficult to tell from the photo, but are the growing tips of the stem plants paler green? (Like this <"Rotala rotundifolia").

The look like they might be in the photo, but it may just be an artifact of the higher light intensity (nearer the light) causing flaring in the photo.

Hm I thought EI has enough Fe and my ph is never above 7.4, even at night, but will try to add different source of Fe to see what happens.
Thanks

Plants don't need much iron (Fe). It is one of the easier deficiencies to diagnose, because iron isn't mobile in the plant, so deficiency effects new leaves. It is only really iron (& manganese (Mn)) deficiencies that cause chlorosis (the yellowing) in the new leaves. If the new leaves are pale? iron deficiency is likely.
Any advice for good Fe for Ph above 7
Have a look at <"Fe EDDHA"> and linked threads.

Not entirely sure what I'm supposed to be looking at, apart from a tank full of reasonably healthy plants.
Can you give us some more info about your tank, filter, rate of flow, lighting make model, intensity, duration, fertz, CO2 conc., etc, etc.
And post some full tank shots and clear images of what you think the problem is. Thanks :)

What a beautiful aquarium! At the beginning when I started my aquarium I had a big problems with plants. They totally didn't want to grow. I went to the aquarium store and they advised me to buy supplement with iron for aquatic plants grown in aquariums. It was a bull's eye. Plants are growin like crazy.

200 litre tank, lighting 3x39w t5 for 7 hours - 10 cm above water surface, par must be around 100. Co2 with 1 ph drop at start of lighting. Full el dose with liquid carbo too. If you look at ammania gracialis you will see little curved leaves and like plants are broken. Most of other plants are ok expect some GSA.

How long have they been in the tank?

Many of the stem plants we keep in aquariums are annual plants so they die after approx a year. Even biennials and perennials periodically die above substrate and then regrow from their roots (or from seeds if they had a chance to flower and be pollinated).
