Does anybody know of a / or plants that like consuming high levels phosphates as mine are @ 5.0mg/l and i need to get them down to a reasonable level.

paul.

Is 5ppm causing you problems?

I`m not aware of any specific P intensive plants, but a lot of fast growers should consume them at a reasonable rate.

after reading that thread i am still no wiser why you want to lower the PO4 levels? maybe i am missing something?

Glad it wasn't just me that thought that then! I'd also go further and say that in my opinion a PO4 of 5ppm is not a high amount of phosphate as well.

I was none the wiser after reading the link either.

Paul, I am sure the majority of people would agree that your PO4 levels are fine.

mine are between 3 and 5 if the test kit can be trusted!

from the link posted it seems you get green spot in the side of the tank that you think retains co2 after lights out??
wouldn't that kinda point to a flow problem in that area??
