Hello.

Can you please recommend me some plants for my 30L Dennerle Nano Cube. I’m really struggling to decide what to pick as there is so much choice.
I would like plants with smaller features, more suitable for small tank. Don’t really care for carpets. Would like some moss and may be some floating plants as well.

Tank is 30L 30x30x35 cm
Filter Eden 511-100w
Light is Chihiros WRGB2 30cm
Substrate is Tropica aquarium soil (in mesh bags) , capped with sand. Don’t like the look of aqua soil.
Will be using CO2 and adding Tropica specialised.
My water is hard…

Some plants I like the look of browsing Tropica website:
Anubias barteri Petite
Microsorum pteropus Narrow
Cryptocoryne wendtii
Lilaeopsis Brasiliensis
Bucephalandra Kedagang

This is my first aquarium/aquascape.
Thank you.

Hi
Most of the Rotala's will suit except the large version Red Macranda!
Didiplis diandra.
Anubias bonsai and paxing.
Java Fern Mini
Crypt wendtii can grow quite large.....try Cryptocoyrne compact or beckettii.
Bucephalandra Theia Dark will stay smaller if it has surface cover above.
Bucephalandra needle leaf.
Bucephalandra Caterina.
Bucephalandra Mini Catherine.
Salvinia as a floating plant or Red Root Floater!

Thank you very much for your suggestions and the link!

There are quite a few buces so you could consider more varieties of that. Schismatoglottis prietoi looks like small anubias with crinkly leaves. Have you considered some small crypts?

Floating wise, I'd go for smaller so either red root floaters or salvina natans.

Hi
The Narrow fern will get too large for the tank.
I will recommend to go for
Microsorum pettite instead.
Another good plant is Hygrophila araguaia.
It blends well arround hardscape and is easy to be kept compact. You can have a look at @Ady34 latest 90cm how it looks grown in.
Cryptocoryne Albida brown is beautiful little plant too.
If you don't opt for Rotalas in background
You can give a Hemianthus micranthemoides a go fine leaved gorgeous plant and fast grower.
Regards Konstantin

Fissidens fontanis, fissidens miroshaki, coral moss, weeping moss, ludwigia Rubin red (easy deep red plant), plenty of choice:)
Thank you very much everyone. My head is spinning XD

Just in case it’s useful, remember most plants you will be buying can be split into several or many bits for planting. They’ll likely fill in pretty quickly, especially stem plants in my experience.
And some may totally die off for reasons it will take you ages to work out - but that’s fine, it happens to everyone.
Buy things you like the look of, stand a chance of growing, and enjoy experimenting 🙂
