Polyester Wadding

I've always liked JBL Symec. It's pricier than your typical floss but doesn't compact as much when dirty and can actually be rinsed a few times.

I like the Eheim ‘fine filter pads’ but some of the filter “floss” can have poor flow through rates, can’t tell much about that polyester wadding
(in HOB filters it’s less restrictive as significant flow bypasses media in this filter design)

The EHEIM fine filter pads look ok but at £5 for a box of three filters it would work out at about £20 for a year. I can buy enough wadding to last me several years for about £7.50, I just need to cut it to size.
