Hi,
Not really sure about this product, but all available vendor data indicates it's safe for freshwater. I don't see the product name with "marine" in it though, just "Protozin". Are there two different versions?

Cheers,

I have used this before to combat white spot, never heard of it being marine!
Worked a treat on the white spot and did not kill plants or fish, this was about 4 years ago!!

hi
yes there are 2 types! i also didnt realize!
protozin marine contains copper sulfate 1.7%w/w formaldehyde 0.3%w/w malachite green 0.11%w/w
protozin freshwater contains copper sulfate o.o15%w/w formaldahyde 0.07% w/w malachite green 0.085%w/w

I checked my bottles of Protozin (not marine), and if the dosing is done the same, over days, you probably will be ok.

But on the safe side, i'd probably do a 50% water change as you have pointed out different chemical structure of the products.

How is everything doing at the moment?
