question about hydor external heater

the 300w model says to fit 16mm pipes, could it work with 15mm too or does it have to be exactly 16mm to fit?

I think its 16mm inner Bore and 22mm outer Bore.
Depends on your outer Bore 22mm to give you a nice tight fit when you screw the locking nut up.
If its 15mm and 22mm should be okay.

You could try immersing the end of the tubing in boiled water for a couple of minutes to get it soft.
Then attach...this should give you a good fit.

If you do what Hoggie says above there is no reason why it wont fit. The red nuts just screw back down over the tube to hold it in place but you can actually remove them and use jubilee clips instead. The lugs that the pipe pushes onto is tapered so it stretches the tube as you push it on.

On a side note guys, how did you attach your up atomizers? i bunged the ends with PTFE tape, but scared it'll pop off?

Didn't bother....with all that malarkey.
Still on there...its never been cleaned its on the out flow tube.

I think i purchased a thicker walled tubing. 1.5mm each side.
