Hi

I'm hoping someone can give me some advice regarding azalea root.

A couple of weeks ago, my husband bought a huge lump of azalea root for my 5x2x2 tank. So big that we couldn't find anywhere to soak it except the tank itself. It was given a good scrub and now resides in the tank at a bit of an odd angle, wedged under the top glass and weighted down with lots of stones that are hidden under the substrate. I had to remove all the existing wood to accommodate it so plants are in the substrate in front of it and others are tied to it as a temporary setup.

In your experience how long does azalea take to become waterlogged and sink?

I want to move it at some point but as the tank contains fish I don't want to risk stirring up the substrate by moving it only to find it still floats.

How long do you think I should wait? 2-3 months or longer?

Thanks
Amanda
