...is it knackered?

When testing for leaks on a new FE my D&D regulator wouldn't go down below 1 bar even with the gas flow turned off and the reg itself emptied. When I sorted out the leak which I had and connected the unit to the tubing etc the pressure reading went up to 3 bar even with the valves shut and the solonoid off. So I released the handles on the FE and removed the reg. It is now sitting on the table still reading 3 bar. Is this the end?

Thanks for any help!

Have you let gas out of needle valve too . The guage is probably broken reg might still work, but you would have to check. Opening full cylinders too quickly can damage regulators and guages, mainly guages. Ive seen loads of regulators that work fine as long as you dont want to know the pressure.
At least if can use it till the new one comes you shouldnt get algae
