Regulator Safe?

Hi, looking for some quick advice.

I’ve had this regulator in storage for several years. It’s endured a couple of house moves.

At some point the plastic over one of the dials has been broken.

Otherwise it looks fine. Do you think this would compromise it’s safety? Will be using with a small pub gas cylinder.

Many thanks, T

Will be absolutely fine. The pressurised gas, that moves the needle, is contained in bellows or bendy tube behind the dial.

If plastic is missing I would silicone/contact adhesive a small circle of plastic over the top to stop one bashing the needle whilst playing fish keeper and to keep the dust (and water drops) out making it look dirty/messy.

It's likely the O-ring has dried etc (unless stored separately with lubricant), so I'd replace that ...

Thanks for the advice guys. Going to cycle my tank without plants, so got a while to check all the CO2 kit, replace O rings etc
