Riccia fluitan without thread

Will Riccia fluitan take hold on wood? I just stuffed some in the cracks of my bogwood but now thinking it might not last as it's a liverwort rather than a moss.

Riccia can look fantastic, it can be tricky to grow also, when it pearls it is so pretty, When it gets going in your tank and starts to smoother your carpet you do go off it a little until you hate it and you might need a rescape to get rid of it.

This is where I have it but as I say it is just pushed into cracks so don't think it will hold. Will make sure to keep it away from the carpet (if the carpet takes)
