I am sure there is an existing thread about things like this but my search skills are letting me down.

just opened up the kids' mud kitchen and found these in the sink. Are these safe to feed ?

They look like caddisfly larvae (order Trichoptera).
Some are predatory. Fish with pharyngeal teeth should be fine with them.

Had to Google that but I would probably feed them to the Betta which if I have read correctly do indeed

Hi all,

Aren't they Owl Midge (Psychodidae) larvae? Some fish eat them, but some aren't keen.

Cheers Darrel
The Betta didn't take too much persuasion to take them from tweezers (although tbf my white worm cultures are a bit bare at the minute so he has been getting a lot of granules recently)
