Schismatoglottis roseaspatha

On our Borneo trip we discovered a plant with two different looks! Schismatoglottis is usually found on the banks of streams in the spray zone, living in close association with other arum plants. Here it can grow to a height of 50 cm or more. Underwater it looks completely different. The plants form compact cushions with very small leaf blades. In this form this plant is very similar to the well-known Cryptocorynes. Planted into coarse-grained substrates or attached to stone or wood, this species is an asset for any plant lover
