Has anyone ever tried sharpening their curved scissors?

Mine have got a few chips in them from trimming roots with bits of gravel still in. Wondered if you could do it in the same way you sharpen kitchen knives.

Not the same as sharpening knives of any sort. Knives have two bevels whereas scissors have only one. If you have nicks that you want to remove then you you're more in to a re-grind of the bevel followed by sharpening rather than sharpening alone. Unless the nicks are really affecting cutting then I'd forget about removing the nicks and just sharpen. From memory you sharpen just one side and don't remove the wire edge that develops on the flat side.

Thats a great video.
I am lucky in that my dad hords diy stuff and I have access to a Grinding wheel, and just use that.

wow Matt, well found!
Not sure what sort of stone that was he was using tho.
(youre probably going to tell me it was a 'scissor sharpening stone'. :p

If they're curved then you may find a slip stone easier to use.
