Currently down near Ross on Wye for a few days. Wondering if anyone can recommend any good shops worth a visit, say within 20-30 mins drive?

    Thanks

    Hi all,
I'm not sure there are any very close. I'll add in @Oldguy, as he is from that part of the world.

I'm frequently drive around Ross (I have family nr. <"Kington"> and live near Bath), but usually I don't stop.

There is a reptile specialist <"Rainforest Aquatics"> on an industrial estate near the Cottage Hospital. I've driven past it a few times, but I've never been in.

There is <"Newport Aquatics">, it is a few miles, but straight down the A40. Same applies to Aquajardin at <"Haresfield"> still the A40, but East rather than West, in that case you would have to go past Gloucester and briefly down the M5.

There is a Maidenhead Aquatics in Hereford, but it is the other side of town from Ross (it is at Wyevale on the Brecon Road (A438)). I haven't been in there in a long time.

There is also <"Tropical Funky Fish">, up the hill from Llandogo (S. of Monmouth), I've never actually managed to find it.

    cheers Darrel

Not really, Aquajadine at Stonehouse, usually good quality stock. I have to drive to get to an outlet. Typically call in places if I am passing. Not bought any stock for years.

    Hi all,
Useful to know. I hadn't realised there was one in Newent. I think the Haresfield (Stonehouse) store should be better. It is very convenient for <"WWT Slimbridge">, if you like that sort of thing.
