Hi.
My tank is going has been slowly going through some changes.
From high tech (diy CO2) to liquid carbon to nearly no liquid carbon at all.
I am currently dosing 0.5-0.6 ml of Tropica (green) to my 35 litre tank daily.
Should I consider cutting my dosing down a bit as it is basically low tech now? I carry out a 50% water change once a week.

Cheers guys!

Simon.

Hi all,
Should I consider cutting my dosing down a bit as it is basically low tech now?
If plant growth remains good, you can leave it where it is and just <"monitor the conductivity"> (ppm TDS), if TDS is continually rising over time just change a bit more water, until you reach a more <"stable conductivity range">.

If you want to reduce the amount of nutrients you are adding? You could use the <"Duckweed Index"> as an indication of when you need to add nutrients.

I use regular small water changes with the "Duckweed Index", other people will either <"carry on with 50% a week"> or they may considerably reduce their water change frequency and/or volume.

cheers Darrel
