Hi everyone,

Does anyone know of a powerhead pump that is somewhat safe for shrimps (cherry)?
Ive noticed thread algae always crops up in the same place and it must be due to low flow. I have a Koralia1 somewhere from back in the day but I never used it for a tank with cherry shrimp.

Thanks!

I suppose I could cut out the mesh from a fish net and enclose the pump in that if anyones tried that before?

My maxpext gyres have mesh guards

which do stop the bigger RCS getting sucked in, as for the same ones - well they take their chances in open water getting eaten or a trip on the 'Vortex of Doom' think their survival chances in 'Vortex of Doom' are better than being eaten ;)
