I bought a Spio III CO2 Diffuser and it has a hole at the base of the circular tubing...is it meant to have?

I thought it was broken so I email the people that sold me it and they said

"The hole is designed to release the gas pressure in the circular tube."

Is this right?

dont worry about it mine has a very tiny hole in the same place - initially co2 gas will come out of the tiny hole but once the glass envelope (bit with the spiral inside) has filled with water (next day after initial fitment) the gas will pass the hole and carry on up the spiral.

I will try it again when my splitter arrives...it is quite a size hole though!

It will be ok - mine looks tiny, but I bet if you could measure it its about the size of a pin head
