Stem plants

I’ve never weighted any stem plants but rather pushed them into substrate about 2 inch deep with tweezers. They need about 1-2 weeks to root properly.

I used to have pleco which often would pull them out after replanting so I gave up on it 😁 I found new good home for it.

MD tanks has few videos on YouTube where he had weighed pearlweed. Have a look

It’s perhaps best to plant them in little bunches of around 3 plants. And usually each bunch is planted close together. No need to use weights just use pincettes to push the stems into the substrate several cm. If you Google how to plant stems you should find some video guides.
