I can see it's been eroded by water and had some kind of deposit left in the cracks, but would be good if any Geologists can explain the processes here.
It reminds me of Kintsugi pottery. Great find!
I wonder if it might have been originally tarmac and concrete?
It looks to be too coarse grained to be basalt with intruded quartz or feldspar (like the "Hornblendite" below) and also it would be a long way from home in Dorset, if it was basalt.
