So I need to upgrade my light again and want to do it correctly.

Before I´ve been using My Rio 240 Multilux ramp, Sera Led Exchange and now I have Akvastabil Lumax Plant.

Can I get a really strong light for my planted tank?
I have been trying to understand how big the difference is between Juwel Helialux Spectrum and for example the Chihiros RGBW2.
I mean is are they lightyears apart?

I dont find many threads comparing Juwel Helialux Spectrum to other lights than Juwel so I guess its the case.

Chihiros is 67w 3400 lumens @ 60cm.
Juwel @ 60cm is 29 watts.
Juwel is mostly 8000 and 6500k diodes w/ some rgb.
Chihiros should be punchier in color .
I doubt that par/watt efficiency is much different between the 2 ( open to confirmation).
Chihiros should be raised higher than the Juwel to get better color blending of the diodes.
So it loses some par/depth than the tight Juwel.

So still sort of light years apart but confirm "your" Chihiros model to what I listed above.
To me their model numbering gets a wee bit confusing.

Not sure about saving the hood or if you are referring to one or 2 juwels.

Thank you very much.
I have to save the hood due to wife issues, Im thinking of buy two juwel helialux spectrum 120 for my Rio 240 tank.
I just want to feel that I can get carpets, deep red colours and be satisfied that I can grow most plants :)

Yes 4 120cm tubes gave a lot if output especially if the added reflectors are any good.
Without those I suspect it isn't much different than a Helilux 1200. 60 x 1.5 = 90 t5 watts
Matter of delivery efficiency.
You need different bulbs than offered since the selection is reef blue centric.
Fortunately 120cm tubes are one if the standard sizes.
14000k's are acceptable if you add some rich red tubes to compliment it.

To match it one would need about 100-144w of leds.

Can anyone answer the question regarding the twin plugs?
One from each " bank" or front / back?
