i recently bought a hagen surface skimmer for one of my two fluval 305 filters. some time the surface skimmer would force air bubbles down the tube and into the filter. is this fine if it happens like every hour? or wud it ruin the filter in the long run? the skimmer is adjustable to slower speed and less bubbles in the intake. i keep in on high cuz my tanks is huge (75G) p

I wouldn't think it would matter unless the filter sucked in lots and lots of air. The filter should be able to cope with a bit of air in it. Most flush any air out without to many problems. It doesn't however what to fill the filter with so much air that it stops working.
