T5/T8 vs Aquasky

Hi Guys,

I bought an AquaSky 2 for my Fluval Roma 125 as the lid was knackered when I inherited it but then I went and bought a Roma 200 the other day. The AquaSky I bought I bought doesn't fit all the way across the 200 light wise but the bracket does obviously. I have also since read that the Aquasky 2 isn't that good for med-high light plants and I would prefer the option to be able to grow some harder plants as time goes on.

I was wondering, would the T5/T8 (not sure which they are at the moment) lights that came with the Roma 200 be better than the AquaSky 2 for plants?

Can't comment on the Aquasky but T5 are capable of giving off enough light for all plants.

A single T5 HO (high output) will get you in high light at 16-17 inches from the lamp, double that with two lamps (reflectors can increase that )
