when starting a new tank, do you put a layer of chosen soil over all the tank regardless of how much you are going to plant? It will be covered with sand.
I have rio 240, was going to keep Discus, but no longer able to undertake this project. So, going to be a comunity tank, not heavily planted though. Just along the back and sides, hopefully some redwood or mopani in too. Will use TPN+ as fert, no co2 though.
External fluval 305. Low level lighting too. Want to keep it along the lines of my 3'. (Just cleared up BBA with added circulation btw!)
Just not sure how much soil to put in there.
