I have decided to overthrow the kitchen nano again after the little puffer died last week. I wanted to try something a little different, and have seen a couple of scapes like this in the past. So here goes...

One clean P@H nano cube (15l)

will get some decent pics up when the stems start to straighten up. The mrs likes it as well, which is always a bonus.

cool idea ian, sorry to hear about the puffer. I ended up pulling down my tribute today, not planned but that another story, i had moved 2 of my puffers to my nano as temp was dropping to 17 so was very suprised to find the 3rd puffer i thought had died long ago fat and well even at 17:wideyed:
Will be good to see how this comes along.

Nice concept! I can see where you're heading with it. It's like Bonzai meets aquarium, I can see a whole new hobby starting here. :)

Cool Idea, looks very nice. Will be interesting to see what fauna you decide to add to it.

Cheers guys...

@ Iain, shame you pulled it down mate! Was really nice. This isn't my idea, a few others have done them before. It just makes for something a little different.

@AWB, thank you, they make a bit of a change, and maybe they will take off, I'm not sure. I was gonna do it emmersed, but decided to flood it.

@arana, cheers, I was just thinking of shrimps again. It's more about the plants in this one.

@Gill, hope you had a good holiday mate! And I may add a snail or two as well.

@ Al, it's gonna need a bit of looking after, with the stems.

Flooding is the best bit about it. Like having a potted plant in a glass box. Some glassware would be cool I guess the more modern looking the plant pot the better. It looks so wrong its right if you know what I mean? Very arty. I'm picturing a Japanese style bowl with a siamese fighter.

@ sanj, lol, it looks a bit like a Waldorf doesn't it.

@ Gary, thank you, the stems are starting to straighten out now, check the vid.

@ AWB, that is actually a good idea with the betta. There are a few bowls like this kicking around the net. Most are Japanese, and aren't stocked.

Here's a wobbly quick vid done on the ipad, so not the best quality. Please view in 720p

Unusual, different,brilliant ;clap:

Nice.
Would have been a nice wabi too....but hey, at least you won't forget to water your plants this way!
You going liquid carbon on this Ian? Will be an interesting one to follow for sure.
Cheerio,
Ady.

Agree with Ady34 would of been a cool wabi.

Imagine doing this on something around 60litres and only filling to the bowl and then having some moss around the base and a few fish...
Would look pretty slick...maybe lol :/

thanks guys.

@ Dan, thank you for the compliment

@ Martin, again thank you!

@ Paulo, it could be interesting to do an actual flower pot, now thats a good idea!

@ Nayr, thanks mate. I agree, they would look ace in a bigger tank.

@ Ady, it would have made a good wabi, but i'm not sure the mrs would have let me cover it in cling film due to it looking untidy. As for the ferts, i'm not sure yet. I'd like to keep it low tech.

@ Tourney, thanks, its always a winner if the ball and chain like it! I will try and keep it as low tech as possible. So, ferts once or twice a week at the beginning.

heres a quick shot from tonight, water is clear and stems are standing up
